Govt. B.Ed. Training College, Kalinga, aspires to be a model teacher training college in the country in providing quality education and producing quality teachers.
Government of Odisha, vide letter no. 25988/Edn-I (M)- 06/2009/SSD Dt. 25/07/2009, announced the establishment of Govt. B.Ed. Training College, Kalinga, Kandhamal as a part of special package announced by hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha for Kandhamal district.
The college started functioning from 2012 after getting the NCTE recognition. Subsequently, the college was taken over by the Department of Higher Education, Govt. of Odisha from 1/06/2021,vide letter no. 15765/HE Dt. 30/03/2021
It started with 50 seats as its strength and now the strength has been enhanced to 100 students (2 units of B.Ed). The college is affiliated to Berhampur university.
The physical infrastructure of the college includes administrative building, academic building (two floors), four hostels, staff quarters, and playground.
